What you’ll Learn.
-
ANATOMY
Know the body. Teach with confidence.
Understanding anatomy isn't just for physiotherapists — it's the foundation of safe, intelligent yoga teaching. In this module, you'll explore how the body moves, where it holds tension, and why no two bodies experience a pose the same way. From muscles and joints to the nervous system and breath mechanics, you'll build the knowledge to keep your students safe, supported, and progressing — and the confidence to adapt every class to the bodies actually in the room.
-
HISTORY & PHILOSOPHY
Know where yoga comes from. Teach with depth.
Yoga is thousands of years old — and understanding its roots changes everything about how you teach it. In this module, we travel through the rich history of yoga, from its ancient origins in India to the traditions and texts that shaped the practice we know today. You'll explore the key philosophical frameworks that underpin yoga, gaining a deeper appreciation for what you're sharing each time you step onto the mat — and the wisdom to bring that depth into every class.
-
THE EIGHT LIMBS OF PATANJALI
Yoga is so much more than postures.
Patanjali's Yoga Sutras offer a complete roadmap for living — and the Eight Limbs are at its heart. In this module, you'll move beyond the physical practice to explore yoga as a whole way of being. From the ethical foundations of the Yamas and Niyamas, through breathwork and sensory withdrawal, all the way to meditation and stillness — you'll discover a framework that doesn't just inform your teaching, but quietly transforms your life.
-
SEQUENCING
A great yoga class doesn't happen by accident.
The art of sequencing is what separates a forgettable class from one your students talk about all week. In this module, you'll learn how to build classes with intention — how to warm the body intelligently, create meaningful peaks, and bring students safely back to stillness. Whether you're teaching a dynamic vinyasa flow or a gentle restorative session, you'll leave with the skills to craft experiences that feel effortless for your students and deeply purposeful for you.
-
SAFE CUEING
The right words at the right moment change everything.
How you guide your students matters just as much as what you guide them into. In this module, you'll develop a confident, clear, and inclusive cueing voice — learning how to give instructions that are easy to follow, anatomically accurate, and genuinely empowering. You'll explore the balance between alignment cues and invitation, how to offer modifications without singling anyone out, and how to read a room so your words always land with care. Safe cueing isn't just a skill — it's how your students learn to trust you.
-
YOGA ETHICS
Teach from integrity. Lead with heart.
Being a yoga teacher carries a quiet responsibility — to your students, to the tradition, and to yourself. In this module, we explore what it means to show up with integrity in every aspect of your teaching life. From holding professional boundaries and creating inclusive, trauma-informed spaces, to understanding the ethics of adjustments, social media, and representing yoga's roots with respect — this module gives you the grounding to become not just a capable teacher, but a trustworthy one.
